Over the years the platform has grown from a simple playground into a full social network for developers with millions of public &ldquo;pens&rdquo;.</p> <h2 id="how-it-works-technically">How it works technically</h2> <p>Each &ldquo;pen&rdquo; is an isolated HTML document with linked CSS and JavaScript. The platform supports:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Preprocessors</strong> — SCSS, LESS, Stylus, TypeScript, Babel, CoffeeScript;</li> <li><strong>Libraries</strong> — quick search and linking of popular CDNs (React, Vue, jQuery, etc.);</li> <li><strong>Templates</strong> — set a default structure for new pens;</li> <li><strong>Export</strong> — download as ZIP, gist, or embed on your site.</li> </ul> <p>There&rsquo;s a built-in console and inspector for debugging.
