Time4VPS Review: An Honest Look at a Lithuanian VPS Host

Time4VPS is one of those hosting providers nobody shouts about on every corner, but one that quietly gets the job done. A Lithuanian provider with data centers in Vilnius and Kaunas. No American or Asian locations — everything is tied to Europe. And, by the way, that’s not a downside.
What They Offer
The plan lineup is classic. The entry-level plan starts at around €2.50/month: 1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, 20 GB SSD. Enough for a lightweight WordPress site or a personal VPN server. Mid-tier plans: 2–4 cores, 4–8 GB RAM, NVMe disks at 40–80 GB. Prices in the €5–12 range. Higher-end configurations (up to 16 cores, 32 GB RAM, 320 GB NVMe) run €30–40. Not cheap, but not extortionate either.
Worth noting separately: Storage VPS — plans with large HDD disks. 1–2 TB for €5–9/month. Perfect for file storage, backup servers, and media archives.
Pros
First — honest uptime. I’ve had a server on Time4VPS for two years now. In that time, there were two scheduled maintenance windows (announced a week ahead) and zero unplanned outages. For a €5 VPS — excellent.
Second — support. They respond in English, occasionally in Russian (depending on the shift). Average response time: 15–20 minutes. No copypasta, they genuinely dig into the problem. Once I trashed a partition table — they helped me recover from a snapshot I’d forgotten I even had (turns out it was enabled by default).
Third — transparency. No hidden fees, the price doesn’t change at renewal. Rare for budget hosting providers.
Fourth — control panel. Custom-built, their own. Not cPanel and not Plesk, but intuitive. Snapshots, OS reinstall, resource monitoring — everything’s there.
Cons
The main downside — no hourly billing. Monthly or yearly only. If you need a server for a couple of days of testing — look elsewhere.
Second — geography. Data centers only in Lithuania. Ping from the US or Asia will be higher than you’d like. If your audience is in Europe or the CIS — great. If global — better look at OVH or Vultr.
Third — no Windows VPS on any plan. Linux only (CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian). For Windows-specific tasks — missed opportunity.
Fourth — limited traffic. Lower plans have a 1–4 TB cap. Enough for most projects, but if you plan to serve video — look at Contabo with their unlimited offering.
Who Is It For
Time4VPS is great for personal projects, small studios, and developers. Business card sites, corporate portals, test environments, VPN nodes, mail servers — all work smoothly. For high-load projects, better look toward dedicated servers or cloud solutions.
Verdict: 7.5/10. A solid European mid-tier option without pretensions of revolution. If your project fits within their plan grid — go for it, you won’t regret it.
