LiveChat: How One Chat Saved Our Project — Experience & Review 2026
ServDigest Team
How We Were Losing Customers Without Knowing It
In fall 2025 we launched a B2B document automation service. Trial-to-paying conversion hovered around 4.7%. Decent, but we wanted more. We blamed it on “complex product” and “market unreadiness.”
In December we installed Hotjar and saw something alarming: 12% of trial users tried to find a “Ask a Question” button but couldn’t. The contact form sat in the footer — barely anyone scrolled that far. Those 12% simply left — no question, no answer, no conversion. We were losing every eighth potential customer because we didn’t give them an easy way to reach out.
The Solution: LiveChat
We evaluated a dozen options. Crisp was cheaper, Intercom more feature-rich, Tidio simpler. But LiveChat won on one crucial parameter: chat widget quality. This sounds trivial, but when your product is complex, the first impression of support forms in the first 3 seconds of opening chat. A responsive, snappy widget signals: “we’re here, ask away.”

Inside After 3 Months of Use
Speed: messages travel from customer to operator in 100–200ms. Not once did we experience “chat froze” or “message lost.” This seems basic, but competitors do lag occasionally.
Rich Messages: product cards, quick-reply buttons, image carousels — right in chat. For an online store, this means showing a product and a “buy” button without navigating the customer away from the current page.
Reports: LiveChat delivers analytics that actually help manage a support team. Average first response time, resolution time, operator rating, missed chat percentage. We implemented weekly reviews of these metrics — within a month average response time dropped from 4 to 1.5 minutes.
Integrations: 200+ ready connectors — from Shopify to Salesforce. We connected HubSpot, and now chat history automatically saves to contact cards in CRM.
Rough Edges
Price stings: the starter plan is /month per operator, and that’s just chat. Helpdesk, knowledge base, and AI features sit in more expensive packages. A team of 5 operators runs at least /month. For comparison: Crisp Unlimited is €95/month per workspace with unlimited operators.
AI lags behind: LiveChat has an AI auto-responder, but it’s more primitive than Tidio’s Lyro and nowhere near Intercom’s Fin. If AI is critical — look elsewhere.
Complex onboarding: the interface isn’t cluttered, but it’s not intuitive either. The first hour was spent figuring out where things are.
Company Background
LiveChat is a Polish product, in the market since 2002. By 2026 it serves 37,000+ companies including Adobe, Mercedes-Benz, and Orange. It’s a public company (WSE: LVC) with 2025 revenue of M. This matters: unlike venture-backed startups, LiveChat doesn’t burn investor money and won’t hike prices 5x like Intercom did.
Affiliate Program
LiveChat offers 20% recurring through its own Partner Program (not PartnerStack). Cookie: 120 days — longer than most competitors. Commission is lifetime — as long as the customer pays, you earn.
Special tier: 30% commission when you bring 50+ paying customers in a year. Achievable for a content site within 6–12 months with good SEO.
Partner materials: banners, landing pages, competitor comparisons — all provided. Dedicated partner manager for affiliates driving 10+ customers.
My Take
LiveChat is for those who prioritize reliability and reputation over price. If your B2B product has expensive customers where losing one lead costs +, then /month per operator isn’t an expense — it’s an investment. Our trial-to-paying conversion grew from 4.7% to 7.2% after implementing chat — and LiveChat was one piece of that puzzle, but an important one.
For budget-constrained startups — look at Crisp or Tidio. For enterprise — Intercom. LiveChat is the sweet spot for those who value quality over savings.
