Jino Review: Russian Hosting — Plans, Reliability, Pros and Cons

Jino hosting review: budget Russian provider with free plan, custom control panel, SSL certificates, and conditions for webmasters.

Jino: When Free Doesn’t Mean Bad

Jino has been operating since 2006 and is best known for its free hosting plan. Over 20 years, the company has grown from “free hosting for students” into a serious provider. Let’s see what’s changed by 2026.

Official website: jino.ru

Free Plan: Still Alive?

Jino’s free plan still exists in 2026. Parameters:

  • 2 GB SSD
  • 2 websites
  • Unlimited traffic
  • PHP 7.4-8.3
  • MySQL
  • Free SSL

Limitations: no FTP (file manager only), no custom domain (jino.ru subdomain only), webmail only (no IMAP/POP3), forum and knowledge base support only (no tickets). As a learning sandbox — excellent. As production hosting — no. But that’s not the point.

This is where Jino gets interesting:

Plan Storage Websites Price/mo
Basic 5 GB 5 99 ₽
Standard 15 GB 15 199 ₽
Business 30 GB 30 349 ₽
VIP 50 GB unlimited 549 ₽

Prices are 30-40% below market. For small projects and landing pages — meaningful savings.

Performance

Servers in Moscow. Hardware: SSD (not NVMe, expected for budget segment). Response time: 30-45 ms from Moscow, 50-70 ms from regions. Average uptime over a year of monitoring: 99.89%.

Load testing: stable up to 30 concurrent connections. After 30, performance degrades. More than sufficient for business card sites and blogs.

Control Panel

Custom-built. Minimalist, no frills. Everything you need: file management, databases, email, SSL, backups. No visual builders or wizards — Jino assumes you know what you’re doing.

Affiliate Program

Jino does not have a public affiliate program. However, webmasters with client volume can negotiate individual terms with the sales department. Not suitable for mass affiliate marketing.

When to Choose Jino

  1. Budget is tight and you need hosting yesterday
  2. Building a simple business card site or landing page
  3. Learning web development — the free plan is ideal
  4. Need a second hosting for testing environments

When Jino Won’t Work

  1. Online store with 1,000+ visitors/day
  2. Affiliate program is important for monetization
  3. Speed matters — no NVMe here
  4. You want a “pretty” control panel with wizards

Verdict

Jino is utilitarian budget hosting. Nothing extra, a working minimum for minimal money. The free plan is still the best among Russian hosts for learning. Paid plans are cost-effective for undemanding projects. But don’t expect speed miracles or affiliate commissions — Jino is a tool, not an ecosystem.
