Bluehost Affiliate Program: Review

Honest review of the Bluehost affiliate program — payouts, pros, cons, and whether it's right for you.

Bluehost Affiliate Program

Bluehost is a hosting provider that has been in the market since 2003. WordPress.org has officially recommended them since 2005. But the affiliate program is a different story, so let’s break it down.

Money

They pay $65 to $130 per hosting sale. The amount varies depending on the client’s plan. Payouts via PayPal, minimum $100. Money comes in once a month, no tricks.

Who it works for

If you have a blog about WordPress, website building, or web design — this is your audience. You can’t squeeze Bluehost into a cooking blog without some creativity. Ready-made banners and landing pages are available, but in English.

The catch

Refunds. The client pays, uses it for a month, and requests a refund — your commission gets clawed back. Average refund rate is 8-12%. CIS audiences convert worse: dollar prices are steep for many.

Verdict: 6/10. As a supplementary channel — fine. As a primary one — weak.
