Two product affiliate programs, two approaches, two audiences. Let’s figure out what brings more and when.
Audience
Yandex.Market — people who already know what they want to buy. They’re looking for the best price. Conversion is high.
AliExpress Russia — impulse purchases. Someone may come for one thing and buy three items. Average check is lower, but more items in the cart.
Commission
Yandex.Market pays up to 5% of the order value. The check rarely exceeds 3,000₽. Average commission per sale — 50-100₽.
AliExpress gives up to 8% on certain categories (electronics, home goods). Average commission — 80-200₽ per sale.
Cookie duration
Yandex — 30 days. If a client buys something a week after clicking — the money is yours.
AliExpress — also 30 days. But all items in the cart count, even if they were added after clicking your link.
Promotion complexity
Yandex.Market — converts better on SEO traffic from reviews. People search “where to buy [product]” and land on comparisons.
AliExpress works better with “what to buy?” content — roundups, trends, ideas. Different article format.
Bottom line in rubles
Calculating at 10,000 monthly visitors:
| Parameter | Yandex.Market | AliExpress |
|---|---|---|
| Conversion | 3% | 2% |
| Average check | 2,000₽ | 1,200₽ |
| Commission | 5% | 6% |
| Income | 3,000₽ | 1,440₽ |
Yandex.Market brings more money on the same traffic. AliExpress — if you have a “shopaholic” audience ready to buy impulsively.
When to choose what
Yandex.Market — you make reviews with specific models, compare prices.
AliExpress — you write roundups and inspiration articles.
Or better — both. Different product categories, different audiences, double income.
